Back in the saddle...errr running shoes
I went out for a run today with Levi. My hip is weird-it doesn't hurt at all once it's "warmed up" but kills in the morning and at night. Anyway I decided to try to run and see how it felt. And it was great! 60 and beautiful outside, Levi was in a good mood (even with his top tooth about to erupt) and the run felt good. I ended up going 42 minutes with a "walk break" (Levi pet an 11 month old puppy who was really sweet and gentle-so it wasn't much walking) for 2 minutes in the middle. So fun that I can run that long consecutively now! And it's nice not to have to worry about time intervals so much.

Awesome, Katie...about the consecutive running. Not so much about the hip. I hope that gets better. I was feeling jealous about that consecutive running. 4 or 5 years ago I got so that I could run for an hour. I'd like to get there again...someday. Maybe by the end of the summer. I'm going to need to get after it and soon.
ReplyDeleteMomma it's be awesome if you could get back to that again. But even if you can't, you've still always got your biking which is so great! And I'm a bit jealous of your rides thru the city and along the lakeshore. Sounds beautiful!
