did the first run of week 2. my ipod was turned up really loud so i couldn't hear myself huffing and puffing, but it felt good. i'm a little worried i'm going to be bad at running outside and pacing myself since i'm so dependent on the treadmill, but hopefully i can build up my cardio and then it will be spring and i can practice running outside.
katie - if we do a 10k, do you have a plan for after you finish couch to 5k? I haven't looked for one yet, but was wondering what you had in mind.
Yay for getting started on week 2! I used to worry about the treadmill thing too-but right now it's about conditioning your body. I think you'll be fine as long as you practice outside a bit in the spring. I don't have a 10k training plan just yet but I have been thinking about it. Let me know if you find one you're going to use.
ReplyDeleteOk I found this one that I might do... http://www.halhigdon.com/training/51122/10K-Novice-Training-Program or I might jump into mom's program... Mom can you email it to me?
ReplyDeleteThe Crescent City Classic website had some great training tips. I can't remember if it was a specific program. You might look there. And yes, I'll e-mail the walk/run program to you. I ran outside this morning. It felt great!
